The Mac Resource can not repair hardware issues on computers that are still covered by Apple's first year manufacturer warranty and the Apple Care Protection Plan. Transferring Data to Your New Mac When you get your new Mac, I can transfer the data from your old machine to the your new one. Therefore we can only attempt to recover lost data and offer no guarantee of success. Hard Drive Backups to CD & DVD Storing data onto CD ROM is the safest way to back up your hard drive for long term storage. Magnetic disks including hard drives, can easily become corrupted or damaged. Things leading to hard drive failure can be: Improper shut down of a computer, electronic or mechanical malfunction or accidental exposure to magnetic fields and power surges.
